El colega Luis Leon – YV6ALX nos comparte esta nota de Shortwave Radiogram
Evidence that the Sunday 2030 UTC broadcast on 11580 kHz has lately been heard well in Europe are these images tweeted by @F4ECA in France. Even if you do not have a Twitter account, visit https://twitter.com/swradiogra
Hello friends,
Europeans turned clocks back an hour last weekend, and most North Americans will do the same this weekend. The four Shortwave Radiogram transmission remain at the same UTC time, so the show will be heard one hear earlier by local time for many listeners. For example, North Americans in the Eastern time zone will hear Shortwave Radiogram Sunday at 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm EST.
Winter propagation allows the Sunday 0600 UTC broadcast on 7730 kHz via WRMI Florida to be received in Europe, even though it is directed to Western North America. Reception of the Sunday 2030 UTC show has recently improved to Europe, whereas the Sunday 2330 UTC transmission was difficult to receive anywhere. I used a receiver in the Caribbean to find a good signal. This weekend: who knows?
The US Department of Defense interoperability exercise is this weekend. Listen for “broadcasts” Saturday at 0300-0315 UTC on 5330.5 kHz and Sunday at 1600-1615 UTC on 13483.5 kHz, both USB. Digital modes might be included in the exercise, but details are sketchy. Be ready for MT63, e.g. MT63-2000L.
Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 20, 4-5 November 2017, all in MFSK32:
